DT-4000 Transmitter and Receiver Programming

DT-4000 TRANSMITTER AND RECEIVER PROGRAMMINGIn this online problem solving guide, we’re providing you with step-by-step instructions on how

Pentium Central Station

  1. Locate soft key in top right corner of main screen. This key can be a hidden key or a key labeled SYSTEM. If it’s a hidden key just click on top of date and time for times to bring up service menu. Otherwise click the key labeled SYSTEM.
  2. Next the system will ask you for a pass code. There are 2 possibilities for this code.
    1. 9999
    2. Hour first followed by day. Example: TIME: 14:16 Date Nov-14th the code would be 1414
  3. Next you want to select the key labeled SERVICE
  4. Next you want to select the key labeled OPEN NET
  5. You now need to hook your programming cable up to your transmitter. Also place a known good battery in your transmitter.
  6. Next you want to select the key labeled PROGRAM TRANSMITTER
  7. The system will now read your transmitter and return to you the value its set to. It does this by displaying three boxes labeled as follows:

FREQENCY- This is the frequency your transmitter is programmed to.

FREQUENCY RESP.-This is the threshold level your transmitter is set to.

DEVICE ID-This is the device Id that your transmitter is set to.

  1. Write all three values down so you can refer back to them in a few minutes.
  2. Next select the key labeled EXIT
  3. Next select the key labeled PROGRAM RECEIVER
  4. The screen that is now displayed for you will show you what values your receiver is looking for in each sector. You can scroll through them by clicking the CHANNEL key. When you locate the channel you looking for verify that your transmitter values match your receiver values.
  5. Any changes that need made can be done by clicking the box next to the values in question and entering the proper value in.
  6. After making changes select enter and the system will reset the receiver to the values you entered.
  7. Next you want to exit out of all menus and admit the patient that goes with the transmitter in question.
  8. Hook transmitter up to a patient simulator or yourself and verify that it is operating properly.

386 or 486 Central Stations

  1. Locate soft key in top right corner of main screen. This key can be a hidden key or a key labeled SYSTEM. If it’s a hidden key just click on top of date and time for times to bring up service menu. Otherwise click the key labeled SYSTEM.
  2. Next the system will ask you for a pass code. There are 2 possibilities for this code.
    1. 9999
    2. Hour first followed by day. Example: TIME: 14:16 Date Nov-14th the code would be 1414
  3. After entering your pass code select the key labeled SERVICE.
  4. Then select TELEMETRY.
  5. Next select EDIT.
  6. You must now hook the programming cable up to your transmitter. Also place a known good battery in your transmitter.
  7. Select PROGRAM and the system will now read your transmitters stored information and display it when its finished.
  8. You will see two sections on your screen.
    1. Current transmitter configuration
    2. Configuration to be programmed
  9. Each section will display three values.
    1. Frequency
    2. LL-Threshold
    3. Base-delay
  10. By clicking on each of these keys you can them change the information stored by using the number pad on the screen.
  11. If you are not changing information verify that all parameters match. If they do not change the values so they do match.
  12. Next all you need to do is select PROGRAM and the system will reprogram the transmitter.
  13. After the system is done programming select EXIT.
  14. Next select EDIT. On this screen you can now scroll through each channel by clicking on the channel key. Each channel represents a sector on your screen.
  15. Find the channel you are looking for.
  16. Enter the correct information by clicking FREQENCY and entering the frequency that your transmitter is set to.
  17. Select PROGRAM and the system will now program your receiver to the values you entered.
  18. Hook transmitter up to a patient simulator or yourself and verify that it is operating properly.

19. Admit the patient in the sector you are working with.
