Ed Evans

President and CEO

Ed Evans has been around electronics most of his life. He began his career in the aerospace engineering industry in 1998, in Floyds Knobs, IN as an electronics technician. In 2001, Ed decided that he would make a transition to the medical electronics industry, as he accepted a role at BMES. Ed began his career at BMES as a repair technician. He gained his medical electronics experience through technical work on the bench at BMES. Ed quickly became one of the top technicians due to his technical ability as well as his ability to lead; a combination that would lead him to being promoted to Service Manager in 2004. Through continued success as the service manager, Ed was promoted to COO of BMES in 2007. Then, in 2011, Ed was promoted to the role of President/CEO of BMES; 1 year prior to the founders retiring. Ed's unique background of technical experience, leadership skills, and knowledge of the medical electronics industry have led to a very successful 2nd generation of leadership at BMES.


Nate Thomasson

Director of Sales and Marketing

Nate started at BMES in May of 2009 as a part time shipping and receiving clerk while attending the University of Louisville. As BMES expanded, Nate was brought on full time as our first outside sales representative. Through developing methods that our costumers found value in, Nate’s success directly contributed to the success of BMES. Having been at BMES for 10 years, Nate has filled many roles and gaps that growing pains cause. As a result, Nate has developed the knowledge and experience to provide every one of our customers an experience that is truly beyond the expected.


Benny Cissell

Director of Operations

Benny joined BMES in November of 2017 after spending 19 years with a global aftermarket service company. Having close to two decades of global experience in supply chain management, reverse logistics, repair operations and customer acquisition; he consistently leads and develops new operations and processes that contribute to top-line growth and a higher customer satisfaction rate while maintaining company targets. Benny is energized by the opportunity to expand the business portfolio through both existing and new customers.


Laura Alexander

Director of Administration

Laura began working at BMES as a temporary employee in April of 2003. Due to the skill and knowledge Laura displayed, she was hired on full-time later that year. In the beginning of Laura’s time at BMES, she did whatever needed to be done. The task list would include marketing, shipping, receiving, accounts receivable and accounts payable. In 2007, Laura was promoted to Support Service Manager, overseeing inventory management, HR, and customer service. Today, Laura's business and industry knowledge allow her to provide a beyond the expected experience to our customers as the Director of Administration at BMES.
