If your Philips HP M1400 Telemetry transmitter is in need of repair, BMES has listed step by step instructions for how to test this unit before sending it to us for repair. Please follow the instructions below, but feel free to contact us if you have further questions.
CMS Central Revision D and above
Press the key labeled INSTRUMENT CONFIG.
Select TELEMETRY FREQUENCY key.
Enter the following pass code 14432.
The screen being displayed for you now is a list of all of the channels for that central. Each channel represents a sector on your screen.
Locate the sector you are working with by scrolling up and down with your keypad until you have the channel you are working with highlighted.
Press CONFIRM.
Press CONFIRM one more time.
Put a known good battery in your transmitter and connect transmitter to a patient simulator.
Now press the key labeled LEARN CODE.
Now press the nurse call button on your transmitter.
You should now have a signal on that sector.
Hook transmitter up to a patient simulator and admit the patient for that sector.
CMS Central Station Revision D and Below
Press key labeled PATIENT WINDOW.
You will now see arrows pop up beside each sector. Press the corresponding bed key for the sector you need to learn the code for.
Next press key labeled MORE CONTROLS.
Press the key labeled MORE CONTROLS one more time.
Put a known good battery in your transmitter and connect transmitter to a patient simulator.
Select key labeled LEARN CODE.
Now press the nurse call button on your transmitter.
You should now have a signal on that sector.
Hook transmitter up to a patient simulator and admit the patient for that sector.
